We are interested in developing novel, non-chromatographic approaches to purify endohedral metallofullerenes.  The goal of new separation science is to isolate gram-scale quantities of pure endohedrals.  Another motivation for investigating non-HPLC separations is avoiding the time and expense of purification techniques relying exclusively on HPLC for the entire isolation process.  In this presentation, we discuss our improvements in finding chemical methods which selectively precipitate metallofullerenes using our Lewis acid approach.
