Metallic nanoparticles (MNPs) have been widely used in catalytic electrochemistry. It is essential to investigate the surface structure, i.e., the facets of MNPs since they strongly affect the catalytic properties. Conventional electrochemistry can only provide averaged information of the facets of all MNPs in the sample, while through plamonic-based electrochemical imaging technique, we are able to image the crystal facets of single MNPs by tracking the redox reaction of single MNPs. Different MNPs (nanospheres, nanorods and nanocubes) were tested and cyclic voltammetry of different single MNPs will be shown.
