ABSTRACT WITHDRAWN

We will present a series of new covalent functionalization sequences for graphene. For this purpose we reductively actived graphite. The resulting gaphenides were treated with electrophiles such as diazonium compounds in solution or on surfaces. This allowed for the first time to investigate the topicity (monotopic versus ditopic) of covalent graphene functionalization. The reaction products were fully characterized using state-of-the-art methods such as Scanning-Raman-Microscopy (SRM), TGA/MS/GC and electron microscopy.
