The structure of nanomaterial determines their individual properties and suprastructures they can form [1-3]. Therefore, it is very important to create the size controlled nanostructures with anisotropic binding sites. However, precious control over size of metal clusters and conformation of protective ligands has been a challenging subject. In this study, we report the synthesis of the Au clusters (AuCs) capped by a certain number of porphyrins derivatives in a face coordination fashion [4-7]. The ground state interaction and excited state photochemical behavior of these porphyrirn face-coordinated AuCs will be also presented.
