(Invited) Electrochemistry at Georgia Tech: Early Days of the Georgia Local Section

The Georgia Local Section was first proposed in 1990 by Jack Winnick, Paul Kohl and Larry Bottomley to be the “Southeastern Section” in hopes that It would include ECS members in Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and possibly Florida. ECS eventually chartered Section in 1991 as the Georgia Section with participation from Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee. In this talk, some of the early electrochemical projects and events of the Georgia Section will be presented.
