The Energy Materials Network (EMN) consortia has been set up to accelerate U.S. materials development and innovation by facilitating access to the national laboratories’ capabilities, tools, and expertise. Each consortium has created its own DataHUB portal for managing data generated by its experimental and simulation studies. These DataHUB portals provide core capabilities such as data storage, discovery and access control. In addition, based upon the needs of the specific consortium, each portal has been customized to provide domain-specific capabilities for data ingestion, curation, and analysis. In developing the DataHUB portals, the data teams across the consortia have coordinated their efforts and adopted common technologies and frameworks to minimize the duplication of efforts. This talk will provide an overview of the DataHUBs’ approach, successes, and challenges in collecting, managing and curating data for the EMNs.
