Carbon nanostructures in general and in particular carbon nanotubes are studied in several biomedical applications, with a special attention to their application for nervous system problems. They are also deeply studied as vectors, being able to enter cells and to deliver their cargo in opportune conditions. However, the biodistribution of these materials are still under evaluation, considering various admistration routes, with the purpose to overcome some limitations typical of many drugs and drug delivery systems as the difficulties bypassing the blood brain barrier.

In this contribution we will explore the fate of some carbon nanotubes, that can be followed by different techniques.
