As battery technology advanced, batteries have had more price competitiveness, driving distances of over 300 miles, and fast charging speed. Therefore, Major research institutions predict that the market share of EV will reach to 25% of the sales volume of existing internal combustion engines in 2030. In this presentation, we will introduce R&D status and direction in LG Chem. on developing the advanced next generation batteries as an alternative to Li-ion battery for EV application.
