A new class of functionalized graphene oxide (FGO) has been fabricated and coated on Au electrodes. FGO based amperometric glucose sensor platformhas been fabricated and tested for basic characterization. Spectroscopic characterization indicated that metalloid polymer hybrids (MPHs) are well distributed, with a strong binding affinity between the GO. The synergic features of the metalloid polymer and the GO resulted in a unique three dimensional nano-architecture on a Au based PCB. In addition to FGO, multiple layers were coated on top of FGO providing efficient blocking of interents in urine samples. The amperometric response against glucose concentration in solution shows a correlation coefficient of 0.998 and wide linear range of up to 55.5mM. The stability test were performed based on over period of 25 days and their amperometric results were compared with commercially available sensors. The applicability tests were also performed with urine samples collected from the patients with hyperglycemia.
