Mesopoous dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) has attracted much attention due to the high solar-to-electricity conversion efficiency up to 12% as well as low cost compared with p-n junction photovoltaic devices. Dramatic cost reduction can be accomplished by continuous roll-to-roll printing processes using a flexible plastic substrate. Therefore, lightweight and flexible DSC can be used as a ubiquitous power source for the future mobile electronics. For the realization of these purposes, some issues such as new fabrication method which can be applied to the plastic substrate should be required. In addition to that, durable mechanical stability of photoelectrode is strongly necessary. In this talk, several strategies to address these issues will be proposed.
