ABSTRACT WITHDRAWN

Various matrices including poly-aniline have been used recently to incorporate nickel salts within the polymer. These films have been shown to be of utility for exploiting the oxidizing characteristic associated with nickel (III) under the right conditions, for example when the film is subjected to anodic bias.

Preliminary SECM examination of the above films was undertaken. The results suggested the presence of active sites on the surface originating from higher-valent nickel cation.
