ABSTRACT WITHDRAWN

In order to achieve a high efficiency oxygen production, 3D electrode was designed and synthesized by electrodeposition of cobalt sulfides (CoS) onto the conductive carbon fiber paper (CFP) substrate (1×1 cm2) by cyclic voltammetry at different scan rate of 5, 10, 20, 30 mV s-1 in 12.5 mM Co(NO3)2 and 12.5 mM thiourea. The CoS/CFP was directly used as anode to highlight the merits of the novel architecture, showing a rather low Tafel slope (~60 mV dec-1) and low overpotential (~0.3 V). The high electrochemical performance of CoS/CFP electrode will be discussed in detail with the analysis of SEM, XRD and XPS.
