Synthesis of MoS2/Reduced Graphene Oxide/Si-Nanopowder Composite As an Anode Material for Li-Ion Batteries

In this study, a novel three-system composite MoS2/rGO/Si-nanopowders was developed as an anode material for Li-ion batteries. The addition of Si nanopowders, which is reported as the anode material with the highest specific capacity for energy storage, further improved the widely investigated composite MoS2/rGO anode for Li-ion batteries. MoS/rGO composite was first synthesized through a hydrothermal method. Then, Si nanopowders were added to the matrix between MoS2/rGO through a milling method. Composites having different ratios of Si nanopowders, MoS2, and rGO were investigated in order to optimize the perfomance of the anode material. The electrical properties of the synthesized battery samples were evaluated using cyclic voltametry and charging-discharging test.
