Superalloys are highly used materials in the aeronautical industry because they have excellent mechanical strength, creep resistance at high temperatures, good surface stability, corrosion resistance and oxidation. In the present work, the corrosion resistance in superalloys, such as INCONEL 800 and Waspaloy, are investigated, which are Fe and Ni base alloys respectively. The electrochemical tests were polarization linear resistance (PLR) and electrochemical noise (EN), in order to determine the corrosion rate and the corrosion mechanism. Samples of 1 cm2 of area were taken per material, being evaluated in three different media: water (H2O), sodium chloride (NaCl) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4) at two different temperatures of 25 and 60 ° C. The results show that superalloys are susceptible to higher corrosion rates as the temperature of the test increases.
