One of most distinct features of two-dimensional layered materials (2DLMs), for example, graphene, is the existence of strong polaritonic modes. Plasmon-polaritons of 2D graphene are similar to other 2D plasmonic modes which are well studied. However, due to ease of van der Waals stacking, 2DLMs also allow formation of vertical heterostructures with multiple layers. The talk will touch upon hybrid plasmon modes in these nanoscale structures.
